Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony looked set to return to Swansea City with a deal worth £13 million set to be completed on Deadline Day, but one club from Italy are looking to hijack the whole thing.
Hellas Verona have made an official offer to sign Bony on a season-long loan, according to the great Gianluca Di Marzio from Sky Italia.

Di Marzio reports that Verona could lose their main striker, Giampaolo Pazzini, and Bony would be the immediate replacement for the position. It’s hard to see this one going through given City are getting good money from Swansea and Verona are only looking for a loan.
Things have gotten quite interesting since Di Marzio has reported that Bony said yes to Verona’s offer, and now the Italians are waiting for City’s response to their loan offer.

City still prefer the sale to Swansea given the £13 million transfer fee and the fact that they don’t need to pay Bony’s wages anymore, but with the player’s positive response to Verona, we really don’t know at the moment where Bony will end up after Deadline Day.
