We’re getting closer and closer to the end of the World Cup Qualifiers in Europe and England are looking to get automatic qualification to next year’s tournament in Russia, and a few Manchester City players could help the Three Lions take a huge step today.

Joe Hart, Kyle Walker, John Stones and Raheem Sterling are part of the squad that faces Slovakia tonight at Wembley Stadium. Only Hart and Walker are expected to start tonight given Stones is a backup to Phil Jones and Gary Cahill while Sterling had a poor performance and should be replaced in the starting lineup by Marcus Rashford.

This is a crucial match for England and a win will be key in securing a place in the World Cup. The Three Lions currently top Group F two points ahead of tonight’s opponents, and if they get a victory they’ll open up a five-point gap over Slovakia with only two matches to go.

It won’t be easy for England, though. Slovakia have a very organized defense and can cause plenty of trouble with the ball, especially through their star midfielder, Marek Hamsik. Hamsik will face Manchester City in the Champions League with Napoli, so this is a good chance for us Cityzens to see him in action.

Let’s support Hart and Walker and hope they can bring home the win for England and take a big step to a place in the World Cup.
