Did you really think it was over? THIS SAGA NEVER ENDS. The last we heard from Ross Barkley he was the subject of a £25m bid from Chelsea as they were either trying to scoop up a cheap English midfielder with potential, or just screwing with Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs, meanwhile, were thinking about going in for Barkley also, and possibly trying to equal or outbid Chelsea.
Well, if you believe BBC football journalist David Ornstein speaking on BBC 5Live, Barkley has no interest in heading to Chelsea, as he has rejected the move.

What does this mean? I have no idea. Spurs might think of this as an opportunity to jump in and try and make a bid for him. But there’s also the possible loan-or-not-loan of Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes to think about, as that’s also floating in the ether.
Will Spurs sign Barkley? Will they let him twist at Everton and go with Gomes? MIGHT WE SEE BOTH OF THEM WEARING LILYWHITE? I CAN’T FEEL MY FAAAAAAAAAACE

EDIT (5:19 pm ET): Reports on Sky Sports News are saying that Ross Barkley changed his mind in the middle of a Chelsea medical and said he wanted to go back to Everton. You can’t make this stuff up.
