Happy Friday Spursland!

The weekend is barreling around the corner and with it, Tottenham’s first-ever Premier League tie against Huddersfield Town. In honour of this momentous occasion, I thought I’d furnish you with a few interesting facts about the place where our opponents are based.

  1. Huddersfield is considered the tenth-biggest town in the UK. Large!
  2. It is is home to over 3,000 listed buildings. Heritage!
  3. Sir Patrick Stewart hails from the nearby town of Mirfield. Space!
  4. Huddersfield Town was the first team to ever win the league three years in a row. Sports!
  5. The name ‘Huddersfield’ apparently derives from ‘Huder’s field’, ie. a field belonging to somebody named Huder. Words!

And to think we provide you with all of this content every day for free.
