Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been snapped welcoming his new teammate to the club, after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joined the Reds on Thursday.

The 24-year-old agreed to a move to Anfield in a £35m deal, as per Sky Sports, after undergoing his medical and finalising the move while with the England squad.

With the pair together at St. George’s Park, Henderson has taken the opportunity to be one of the first of the Liverpool players to welcome Oxlade-Chamberlain to the Merseyside giants, as seen in the pic below which the club absolutely loved as they tweeted it out on the official club account.

There’s an argument to suggest that the pair will in fact be competing for the same spot in the starting line-up under Jurgen Klopp, with Oxlade-Chamberlain said to be keen to establish himself in central midfield.

As part of his reason for leaving Arsenal, the England international believes Liverpool will help take his career and overall development to the next level. Training and playing alongside the likes of Henderson will undoubtedly help him settle in, but time will tell if Arsenal have done great business by selling now or if Liverpool have picked up a crucial signing.
