Jose Mourinho was a late call-up for the ‘Game 4 Grenfell’ charity game on Saturday, and he definitely made a big impression on the encounter.

Mourinho was signed up to play for Alan Shearer’s side which faced Les Ferdinand’s team in a match to raise money for those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire in June.

The Man Utd boss came on to replace David James in the second half and took his place in between the posts, and he’d have been delighted to receive a positive ovation for a change from the Loftus Road crowd.

As seen in the video below, he enjoyed a joke with James as he made his way onto the pitch, and the Portuguese tactician did a decent job with David De Gea potentially having to look over his shoulder in training.

An early punch from a corner to clear his lines was then ruined by a booking for time wasting, before he then conceded an equaliser. However, his crowning moment was still to come.

Mourinho scored from the spot in the penalty shoot-out with a well-taken effort, but he failed to save a single penalty and so Team Ferdinand went on to secure the victory. Don’t give up the day job Jose…
