Jose Mourinho orders Man Utd star to take 10-day holiday, lengthy layoff still expected

Man Utd midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly been told by Jose Mourinho to take a short holiday before continuing rehabilitation on his hamstring injury.

The Frenchman sustained the setback during the Champions League win over Basel earlier this month, and has been given a recovery timeline of between four and six weeks, as per The Sun.

However, before really getting stuck into his rehab work, Mourinho has seemingly told him to take a 10-day holiday during the international break to enjoy a mini-break in order to rest and fully recover.

It’s added that the 24-year-old is waiting for a second scan to reveal the full extent of the muscle problem, but this latest move is in stark contrast to earlier claims that Mourinho was furious with Pogba as his personalised training work was blamed for the injury.

“Paul is being given some time off before he steps up his rehab from a hamstring injury. He has another scan soon, but the injury has to settle down first and then a full assessment can be made.”

To make the situation even more frustrating, Pogba had enjoyed a positive start to the campaign having bagged two goals and two assists in six appearances in all competitions.

With Man Utd going so well to start the season, both in the Premier League and Champions League, the last thing Mourinho would have wanted was for a key player to get injured. Unfortunately for him and the Red Devils, that’s what happened. Now they must be patient and allow Pogba to fully recover and avoid any  costly setbacks.
