Manchester United legend Gary Neville singled out Romelu Lukaku for criticism after a quiet game in yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool.
The Belgium international has made a flying start to life at Old Trafford after his summer move from Everton, scoring 11 goals in his first 11 games for United.

However, Jose Mourinho’s side were not at their free-flowing best on Saturday as they mustered only a point in a drab affair at Anfield, with Lukaku unable to make an impact.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Neville did not hold back in his criticism of Lukaku’s performance, warning him that at a club like United he needs to produce more in big games such as this one.
‘I was disappointed with Lukaku,’ the pundit was quoted in the Manchester Evening News.

‘It looked like he was distracted in the first half, he wasn’t himself, he was frustrated. He really didn’t get any impact in the game, no influence.
‘It’s the big matches that will define him as a Manchester United striker, not the matches where he sort of bullies teams.
‘He’s a Manchester United centre-forward, there are high expectations of what you’ve got to do in games, big games, win games.

‘He’s done that already this season and he’s taken all the praise, he’s had a brilliant start to his Manchester United career.
