Liverpool’s Sadio Mane has been named in Senegal’s squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers in November despite currently being sidelined with a hamstring injury picked up earlier this month.

Sky Sports have reported comments from Senegal’s coach Aliou Cisse who expects Mane to be fully fit for their crucial World Cup qualifiers on the 10th and 14th of November.

The Liverpool attacker was sidelined this month after sustaining the previously mentioned hamstring injury while on duty with Senegal against Cape Verde Islands on October the 7th. The estimated period of time that Mane was expected to miss was six weeks but Cisse’s latest assessment of the star’s fitness would suggest that the attacker is on course to recover ahead of his expected recovery period.

Cisse stated: “In my mind there’s no doubt he will be with us for the double header against South Africa and that he will be 100 per cent fit,” as reported by Sky Sports.

Mane has already missed important fixtures for the Reds this season after picking up a three-match suspension as a repercussion for his red card during Liverpool’s 5-0 defeat to Man City in September. The attacker’s presence was a huge miss at Anfield having already bagged three goals in his opening three matches in the Premier League this season.

The Senegal international was also unavailable for Liverpool last season in January due to commitments to his national team during the African Cup of Nations. The Reds subsequently dropped points during this period and will be hoping to get Mane back as soon as possible now to not replicate the repercussions his absence had last season.
