(Watch) Jack Wilshere magic gives Arsenal a vital Europa League winner, is an England recall on the cards?

Jack Wilshere supplied the match-winning quality needed to give Arsenal a crucial away win in the Europa League this evening as they beat Red Star Belgrade 1-0.

Wilshere started a move on the 85th minute which produced the Arsenal winner. A simple but beautiful turn from the Englishman took two Belgrade players out of the game instantly as he threaded the ball through to Theo Walcott. Walcott repaid the favour and combined in a neat one-two with Wilshere before supplying a ball himself to Giroud who slotted home to give Arsenal the lead.

It is no secret that Wilshere has struggled to recapture the form that exposed him to the footballing world many years ago in recent seasons. Just a few weeks ago the midfielder became a laughing stock amongst English football after seeing red during an U23 clash with Man City for fighting.

Wilshere embarked on a loan spell to Bournemouth last season but struggled with ongoing injuries and was unable to have any significant impact while playing on the South Coast. The star did manage to make 29 Premier League appearances while on loan but failed to score a single goal and only managed to register two assists across the season.

However, after tonight’s performance a change of fortune could be beckoning for the Englishman who will not only be looking to work his way back into the regular starting eleven for Arsenal but to also catch the eye of England head coach Gareth Southgate ahead of next summer’s World Cup.

Below you can watch the Wilshere magic that sealed the three points for Arsenal tonight.
