Neymar being given a lot of power at PSG!

Neymar has reportedly been invited by Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to recommend potential signings for next summer’s transfer window.

The Brazil international has taken the PSG chief up on his offer and is said to be keen on the club to bring in Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, according to Don Balon.

The France international has been one of the best forwards in European football down the years, and could do well in the less competitive Ligue 1 after a slow start for Real this term.

This could be bad news for Arsenal, however, with Don Balon also recently stating that the Gunners had made Real an initial approach over snapping up the 29-year-old.

Benzema has been linked with the north Londoners on many occasions down the years, though a deal has never come to pass, with history perhaps set to repeat itself here.

It’s easy to see why a move to PSG could be tempting for Benzema, with the chance to play alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe bound to be a great next step for the player after five years of forming part of the famous ‘BBC’ attacking trio along with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale at the Bernabeu.

It remains to be seen where Arsenal could turn to if Benzema is not available, with Don Balon’s report coming on the back of further speculation from the Daily Mirror that Alexis Sanchez could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium.

The Chilean is set to be out of contract at the end of the season and will surely need replacing after being a reliable source of goals and quality up front since he joined the club in 2014.

Benzema could perhaps have been ideal for Arsene Wenger’s needs, but it’s hard to imagine Arsenal could compete with PSG either financially or in terms of their ambition to challenge for major honours.
