Arsene Wenger won’t rule out huge Arsenal transfer decision this January

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted he is not going to rule out allowing both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the January transfer window.

The Gunners duo are both heading towards the end of their contracts and will be free agents next summer if they cannot be tied down to new deals.

This could mean it’s to Arsenal’s advantage to cash in on the pair while they still can, something Wenger would not rule out in an interview with beIN Sports.

‘No decision has been made on that front,  do we let anyone go in January or not,’ he said.

‘We have to think about that to see where we stand with them at the end of December.’

According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester City are not planning a new bid for Sanchez in January but will wait until the summer to sign him on a free, while another report from the Mirror claims Ozil is a target for United but may be more likely to sign a new contract.

Arsenal would be taking a big risk if they did decide to cash in on both players at once, with replacements perhaps more likely to be hard to come by in the middle of the season.

The Metro have linked Wenger’s side with a move for in-form Lyon star Nabil Fekir as a possible signing to boost their options in attack.
