Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move to sign Lyon star Nabil Fekir, but their president has sent a message to the Gunners and other clubs looking for a transfer.
According to the Daily Star, Arsenal look to be making real progress on signing the in-form France international, but Lyon chief Jean-Michel Aulas has poured cold water on the speculation.
Aulas was asked about Fekir’s future by French publication SFR Sport, but sent the clear message that he planned to keep hold of the 24-year-old.

‘Will Fekir be at the club after the winter transfer window? Of course,’ Aulas is quoted in the Metro.
‘And nothing says that he will leave at the end of the season either. He is under contract (until 2020) and likes playing for Lyon very much.

‘If France makes the (World Cup) final and he scores the winning goal, of course he’ll get offers. But we will do everything to get Nabil to stay. And I think he wants to.’
Lyon don’t have the best track record of keeping hold of their star names, however, with Arsenal raiding them for Alexandre Lacazette in the summer.
In recent times Lyon have also lost the likes of Karim Benzema and Michael Essien to Europe’s giants, and Fekir looks another who is destined to make the step up to a bigger club at some point in the future.
