Arsenal vs Man Utd confirmed line-ups: Huge boost for Wenger, Matic recovers

Arsenal host Man Utd at the Emirates on Saturday evening, with both Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho desperate for a positive result.

The Gunners will be looking for a 13th consecutive home league win, while the visitors will be out to secure their fourth straight win in the league to keep the pressure on rivals Man City at the top of the table.

In turn, the stakes are high, not to mention the old rivalry between the two managers who have clashed on countless occasions on and off the pitch over the years.

Both sides came into the showdown with injury concerns, but for Man Utd, they’ve been handed a huge boost as Nemanja Matic has been passed fit to feature after emerging as a doubt after picking up a problem in the midweek win over Watford.

Given his calming influence and presence in midfield, Mourinho will be delighted that he can start, and he’ll look to play a pivotal role in the game.

Meanwhile, it’s an even bigger boost for Arsenal as summer signing Alexandre Lacazette has recovered from a groin concern to make the starting line-up, despite Wenger suggesting that the Frenchman would be ‘out for a while’, as per BBC Sport.

Lacazette has bagged seven goals in 14 Premier League games so far this season, and so having him available is huge news for Arsenal.
