Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that he rejected Arsenal after a meeting with Arsene Wenger after being less-than impressed with the Gunners’ plans for him.

A report from the Daily Mail has reported that Ibrahimovic refused to complete a trial at Arsenal and instead demanded to be put straight in the first team as just a kid.

The report cites comments made by Zlatan to Sky Sports Italia show I Signori del Calcio in which he explained how he does not complete trials.

Ibrahimovic stated, “I went to London for an appointment with Wenger, who asked me to audition for the Gunners,” adding, “I told him “I will not do a trial: either you take me or not, I’m not here to waste time.”

After failing to see eye to eye with Wenger the Swede alternatively went on to start his career at Dutch club Ajax.

Ibrahimovic went on to win 11 league titles in four different countries before then coming back to the Premier League to haunt Wenger further by signing Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

After sustaining a serious injury, the striker is now match fit for the first time in almost 6 months and will be looking to haunt Wenger and Arsenal even further in tonight’s evening kick off.
