Arsenal ran riot in their final Europa League fixture with Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere all registering goals for the Gunners against Bate Borisov.

Arsenal had little to play for having already secured top place in their group but the Gunners still managed to turn the screw in arguably their most impressive performance this season in the competition.

Mathieu Debuchy opened the scoring for the Gunners on the 11th minute with an absolute rocket from the edge of the box.

The control then seamlessly stayed with the Gunners throughout as Arsene Wenger’s men turned the screw at the Emirates.

Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud and Jack Wilshere have all struggled to maintain consistent game-time under Arsene Wenger this season having to often rely on the Europa League to impress. The experienced trio have often spearheaded the Arsenal attack in Europe often leading out relatively inexperienced line-outs. Tonight’s performance from the experienced trio was perhaps their greatest yet this season in Europe.

All three of them registered goals and their continued movement and attacking fluidity was far too much for the Bate defense top cope with.

The pick of the bunch was perhaps Mohammed Elneny’s effort on the 74th minute with the Egyptian curling a beautiful effort into the top corner after being set-up by Jack Wilshere.

Man of the match

Jack Wilshere has so often had to use the Europa League as his only opportunity to impress Arsene Wenger and tonight he did just that.

The star not only scored his first Arsenal goal in three years but he also turned provider creating chances for his teammates throughout.

It is surely only a matter of time that Wenger turns to Wilshere in the Premier League.

Flop of the match

Dzyanis Palyakow. Who? Exactly.

The 33-year-old had a horrid night with the Belarus ‘star’ struggling from the first whistle to cope with the experience and movement of Giroud, Walcott and Wilshere.

The defender’s night was capped off on the 51st minute when he scored an own goal.
