Philippe Coutinho starred as Liverpool beat Bournemouth 4-0 with fans comparing him to Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
The Brazilian opened the scoring for Liverpool today on the 20th minute with an outstanding individual effort.
The Liverpool number ten picked up the ball just inside Bournemouth’s half before running directly at his opposing players as if they didn’t exist.
Coutinho then calmly slotted past Asmir Begovic to give Liverpool the lead. The goal understandably produced comparisons to Lionel Messi with the Argentine’s reputation for scoring ridiculous individual efforts.
Love Coutinho’s long range strikes but that might just be his best goal for Liverpool. Leaves 6 players for dead. The kind Messi would be proud of.

Mohammed Salah also caught the attention of fans after scoring his 20th goal of the season in all competitions. The Egyptian has risen to establish himself as not only one of the finest summer signings in world football but also as one of the most talented stars in the Premier League.
Praise for both Coutinho and Salah understandably came pouring in after the full-time whistle.

This afternoon it’s like Coutinho and Salah are trying to out do each other today. Winner gets a move to La Liga? Joke…! Remember it’s Christmas.
