Arsenal and Manchester City are reportedly both interested in the transfer of Burnley defender James Tarkowski after his impressive form in the Premier League this season.
The 25-year-old has been a key performer as Sean Dyche’s side have surprisingly got themselves into 6th position in the table, and that’s got bigger clubs taking notice.
According to the Times, Arsenal and City are both looking at Tarkowski but would most likely move for him next summer as they both look to strengthen at the back.

The Gunners look in particular need of bolstering their defensive options after some unconvincing form from Shkodran Mustafi this season, while Per Mertesacker is due to retire at the end of the campaign.
Defence seems to be a priority for both sides, however, with the Times also recently linking them with an interest in Southampton centre-back Virgil van Dijk.
Tarkowski has spent most of his career so far in the lower leagues but now looks fully established in the top flight with Burnley.
