Manchester City reportedly have some fears over sealing the transfer of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez this January due to potentially upsetting Sergio Aguero.
The Chile international has been linked with City for months now, and the Daily Mirror recently reported that he’s heading for a free transfer to the Etihad Stadium in the summer.
However, the deal may not be entirely straightforward, with the Daily Telegraph claiming City have been put off moving for Sanchez in January due to uncertainty over how Aguero would react to the deal.
Aguero has arguably not been at his best this season, and though Sanchez has also not looked himself for Arsenal, his all-round abilities certainly make him look an upgrade for City.

The tireless 29-year-old seems more ideally suited to how Pep Guardiola likes his sides to play, but this whole situation surely puts Aguero’s future at the club in some doubt.
The Argentina international has been a big hit for City down the years, scoring 182 goals in 272 games, becoming their all-time leading goalscorer.
Still, it may be time to change things around and few would doubt Guardiola’s judgement after what he’s achieved at the club and in the game as a whole.
