Wenger believes there are a plethora of candidates for the League Managers' Association gong, but Mourinho is NOT in the running.

Wenger and Mourinho have clashed on a number of occasions this season following the Portuguese's return to English football.

And the Gunners boss ignored Mourinho when discussing his manager of the year contenders, despite the Blues boss being fifth-placed in the running with leading bookmakers.

"We have plenty of candidates," Wenger said.

"We have two kinds of candidates, those who win the league and those who don't go down.

"Amongst those who don't go down you have [Tony] Pulis, [Steve] Bruce, [Gus] Poyet now who has done a magnificent job [at Sunderland] because he got to a cup final as well.

"Then after that you have [Manuel] Pellegrini who will win the league.

"Or Brendan Rodgers who has done remarkably well because Liverpool also play a very attractive game."

Bookies Paddy Power rate Crystal Palace boss Pulis as the odds-on favourite to win the award.

Pellegrini and Rodgers are around the 10/3 mark, with Poyet, Mourinho and Bruce in the pack behind that.

Wenger is a long shot at a price of 100/1.
