Gunners captain Arteta has reportedly agreed a one-year extension to remain at the Emirates until 2016.
It is believed Arsenal will announce the deal during the international break next week.
And the Spanish midfielder is the latest star who has tied his future to the club over the last few months.
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Olivier Giroud's new deal is 'done', while three other players were signed up towards the end of last season.
Laurent Koscielny, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky have all been given new deals this year.
