Jose Mourinho is relishing a trip to Anfield

The Blues are six points clear at the top of the table and have fond memories of playing at Anfield, having won 2-0 there last season.

Mourinho hit out at the Chelsea fans last week for the quiet atmosphere against QPR at Stamford Bridge, before admitting he went 'over the top'.

But he admits Chelsea will use the potentially intimidating atmosphere to their advantage.

"I like to play there, but I have to say that, some people feel the atmosphere can be negative way and affect the performance of the players," Mourinho said.

It's a fantastic atmosphere for all of us to enjoy and play a good game

"That's not my case. First of all I don't play.

"Secondly, I don't think it affects my players' performances, but in the past we have examples of it affecting performances, goals that are not goals, penalties given that aren't penalties.

"But it's a fantastic atmosphere for all of us to enjoy and play a good game.”
