Jack Wilshere clutches his injured ankle

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted the England midfielder could be sidelined for some time.

Wilshere sprained his ankle during the Gunners' 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.

And the 22-year-old will not face Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates tomorrow night (7.45pm).

"Wilshere will be out for a while, he sees a specialist next week to see for how long," Wenger said.

"He has a big ankle sprain but I don't want to talk about it because I am not a specialist."

Wojciech Szczesny is also out with a rib injury sustained against United.

Wenger also revealed Theo Walcott remains out with a groin problem picked up on England duty.

But Danny Welbeck and Laurent Koscielny are both in the squad to face Dortmund.
