Jose Mourinho says Chelsea will be active this summer

The Chelsea boss is ready to lose left-back Filipe Luis but wants a replacement in.

Luis is set to return to Atletico Madrid after just one season at Stamford Bridge.

And the Blues are expected to ramp up their interest in Ghana defender Baba Rahman.

"In this moment we need a left-back because I think we are selling Filipe Luis now or tomorrow, but I think we will sell Filipe Luis," said Mourinho.

"We need to go the market, we need to find a club that accepts a bid until 31 August, and we are going for a left-back. In other positions we have no space."

So far Chelsea have only signed Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco and Asmir Begovic from Stoke.

But Mourinho wants to land Everton defender John Stones, who he launched a bid for last week.

Chelsea sold Petr Cech to Arsenal in a £10million deal, saw Didier Drogba leave the club for a second time and have loaned Patrick Bamford out to Crystal Palace
