Manchester United want two more signings this summer.

Louis van Gaal has already signed five men but wants another two after losing Angel Di Maria and with David De Gea's future uncertain.

He said: “Yes, because I have said that we need players with speed and creativity – Di Maria is a player like that and now he is gone, so we need that type of player.

"Of course we have problems still with the goalkeeper, so we need maybe two more players.”

Arsene Wenger admits he is open to signing an "exceptional" option if one comes available.

The Arsenal boss believes his squad is ready to challenge for the title but is not ruling out a late move.

"At the moment we do not have Sanchez, not Welbeck, and when these players come back we feel that we have the needed striking force," Wenger said. 

"But we don't rule out as well if something exceptional turns up to do it."
