Mourinho hails Pedro's Chelsea debut as forward responds to concerns about settling

JOSE MOURINHO heaped praise on new signing Pedro after he starred in Chelsea's 3-2 win at West Brom.

The  took just 20 minutes to score his first goal for the club before setting up team-mate Diego Costa for their second.

And the Blues boss was pleasantly surprised to see his new man settle so quickly.

"He's a very good player, there is always a question mark because how many top players come to England and don't perform immediately," Mourinho said.

"People ask if he is the right player, can he adapt? We have examples in our club and there are lots of examples in other clubs, it's very nice for him to perform the way he did."
