Wenger reveals fitness update with Arsenal at Aston Villa
ARSENE WENGER says he wasn't sure how tired his players were when selecting his first XI to play Aston Villa today.
Arsenal are at Villa Park seeking a win to maintain the pace in the Premier League title race.
Olivier Giroud, who scored a hat-trick at Olympiakos in the Champions League on Wednesday, started up front.
"Sometimes after a good achievement the squad has a good level of confidence.
"The job of the players is to show we can focus in every game. That's what maturity is about in a top level player.
"It is a team [Aston Villa] that fights for survival so you expect huge commitment and defensive security.
"On our side it's simply that we start strong and not raise their level of confidence."
