Alexis Sanchez is yet to agree a new deal with Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez has been linked with a move away from Arsenal for months and is yet to agree a new contract with the Gunners.

The 28-year-old has admitted he knows where he will be playing next season and has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.

Arsene Wenger has claimed he will not be sold and the Chile international is set to return to Arsenal training on Sunday.

However, South American football expert Tim Vickery thinks Sanchez will leave and predicts Arsenal will cash in when the price is right.

“He’s 28 now Sanchez, if I were Arsene Wenger that's something that would be going round and round in my head,” Vickery told talkSPORT.

“2014 World Cup, 2015 Copa America – all the way to the final - 2017 Confederations Cup, 2018 – assuming they qualify – another World Cup, 2019 another Copa America...

“Sanchez is a player who plays with that intensity and he’s at that age – when he was in his pomp – Wenger would let the player go, maybe a year before you thought the player had reached his peak.

“For that reason, it wouldn’t surprise me at the moment when the price is right, they let go of him.”

Sanchez cast further doubt over his Arsenal future last night when he posted a photo of himself on Instagram claiming he was sick following his return to the UK.

And this has angered Gunners fans who believe the forward his feigning illness to avoid retuning to training.

They responded to the post in their droves with one writing: “He's already got the excuse not to go back to training.

Another added: “Alexis we love you but we are sick and tired of your chit-chat. If you aren't feeling up to playing for us, just leave.”
