Neymar plans to end up at Man Utd or Real Madrid after PSG transfer - huge claims in Spain

NEYMAR plans to join Manchester United or Real Madrid despite being on the verge of signing for Paris Saint-Germain, according to sensational reports in Spain.

Neymar is set to end his four-year spell at Barcelona by sealing a world-record £198million transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazil international has spent the last four years shining at the Nou Camp but, fed up with playing second fiddle to Lionel Messi, a move to France beckons.

PSG have managed to do what Manchester United and Real Madrid have failed - presenting an offer good enough for him to jump ship for a new adventure outside of Barcelona.

Manchester United and Real both tried to sign the winger last summer but he ultimately decided to give Barca another 12 months service.

However, Spanish website Don Balon say he still plans on joining one of the two European heavyweights later in his career.

It is said that, though many feel he is joining PSG to better his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or, this is not the case.

Instead, Neymar plans to spend two or three years in Paris on a dizzying salary before getting his advisors to negotiate a move either to United, Real or Juventus.

He feels that, when he is around the age of 27 or 28, he will be well placed to win Europe's biggest individual gong because Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will both be past their best.

And Neymar also knows that United and Real both have the financial muscle to lure him away from PSG when the time comes.

Serie A giants Juventus are also being considered as an alternative - but the Italian side are lacking economically compared to their European rivals.

A Barcelona statement yesterday confirmed Neymar was on his way out, saying: "The player Neymar Jr, accompanied by his father and agent, has informed FC Barcelona this morning of his decision to leave the Club in a meeting held at the Club’s offices.

"Faced with this position, the Club has informed them they refer to the buy-out clause of his existing contract which as of 1 July totals 222 million euros which will have to be deposited in its entirety.

"Furthermore, in reply to the claim for the contract extension bonus, the Club has once again made it clear that the amount remains deposited with a notary until the case is resolved.

"The player remains under contract at FC Barcelona but with temporary permission to not take part in training sessions."
