Man Utd odds slashed to sign Danny Rose despite Tottenham's hands-off warning

MANCHESTER UNITED have seen their odds slashed by the bookies to sign Tottenham star Danny Rose.

Tottenham's Danny Rose opens up about injury struggles

Manchester United are reportedly in the market for a new left-back this summer, with Jose Mourinho still unsure over injured Luke Shaw.

Reports have surfaced this week that United are keen to renew their interest in England international Rose, who they wanted in January.

Tottenham are said to have issued a hands-off warning to United, telling Mourinho that the 27-year-old is not for sale at any price.

But bookmakers Betfair suggest a deal could still happen, having slashed United's odds of signing Rose from 9/1 to 5/1.

Spurs sold right-back Kyle Walker to Manchester City last month and look set to start the campaign with just one fit recognised full-back in Ben Davies.

Rose is still out of action after undergoing surgery on a knee injury towards the end of last season, while Kieran Trippier picked up a knock during pre-season.

Tottenham are the only Premier League club yet to sign a player this this summer - and Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to make a couple of additions before the summer shuts.

The Spurs manager said: "We are working, trying to add some players to the squad.

"Our idea was, the same as before, to try to provide the team with more strength and try to sign a few players before the end of the transfer window."
