The Belgian striker will have been pleased to get off the mark in a competitive fixture for Manchester United, tapping in a rebound after Nemanja Matic’s shot was saved by Keylor Navas.
Unfortunately for Lukaku, supporters will not forget the glorious chance he missed from a couple of yards out just minutes before, nor the comical foul throw the 24-year-old committed with seconds remaining.
