Rafael Benítez HINTS at Lucas Perez moving to Newcastle
Perez is free to leave Arsenal this summer after struggling for minutes last season under Wenger.
The Spaniard hasn’t been used by Wenger in pre-season and his agent has complained in the press about Arsenal’s asking price being too high.
Newcastle are among the teams who have expressed an interest in signing Perez and Benitez has confirmed he talked to Wenger about the striker.
When asked if Newcastle were going to sign Perez, Benitez told BT Sport: “I was talking with Arsene yesterday, because we had the managers meeting.

“I said: ‘Listen, we have to talk.’
“And he said: ‘Do you have some money?’
“Obviously, we like good players, but it’s too soon to talk about that.”

Newcastle have made four major signings on their return to the Premier League but Benitez is desperate to get more deals done.
And the Spaniard admits he's been left unhappy at Newcastle business so far.
"I am not happy but at the same time for me it's a challenge," he told on Sky Sports.
"I try to do my best."
