That is the view of former Premier League boss Alan Pardew, who came up against Lukaku numerous times as a manager.
Lukaku joined Manchester United from Everton for £75million last month and scored on his competitive debut against Real Madrid in the European Super Cup loss last Tuesday.
He was the second top scorer in the Premier League last season with 25 but Pardew believes his hold-up play is something he must work on now he is at United.
“The thing about him is his power," Pardew said on Sky Sports.

“The only time really you can gamble with him I think is when you’re high up the pitch.
“He has a tendency to come short and be a little bit lazy in his control and you can nick it off him.
“I think that is an area that he needs to improve."
Lukaku scored twice for United against West Ham on his Premier League debut for the club this afternoon, giving them a 2-0 lead just after half time.
