Jose Mourinho takes dig at Chelsea: I like this Man Utd squad more than any other

Mourinho has been in good spirits throughout pre-season as he sets about trying to win the Premier League and Champions League with Manchester United.

The Portuguese coach has had a decorated career winning major honours at Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Porto.

But speaking in his programme notes ahead of United's match with West Ham, Mourinho declared he was working his with his favourite ever squad. 

"That's what I love most about this squad: the players always give everything," he wrote.

"It makes me so happy to be manager of this club, working with these guys.

"As I told them all recently, during my long career, I have never worked with a group I like as much as I like them.

"Our three new signings – Victor, Romelu and Nemanja – are all very lucky to have joined a group like this, because it is so easy to work with them."

United opened their season with a comfortable 4-0 win over West Ham at Old Trafford.
