Arsenal and Leicester got the Premier League season off to a spectacular start with a seven goal thriller at the Emirates.

And it was a goal heavy weekend across the board with only one goalless match.

After his United team thrashed West Ham 4-0, Mourinho revealed he was entertained by Friday's match.

He said: "On Friday, I was in front of the TV and I enjoyed it a lot. The Arsenal-Leicester result is a consequence of the way they play."

Mourinho went on to hail the impact summer signings Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic had on the United team.

He said: "The Premier League taught me that you need to be adaptive to perform immediately. Both Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic have years and years of Premier League experience, it is easy for them compared to Victor Lindelof who needs time.

“Nemanja is top player with a top stability and we need that. Romelu is aggressive so they improve our team and the way we work. We have conditions to be a better team this season than last season.

"Romelu can gives us aerial threat, protect the ball and a good way out for us. I repeat, we are not on the moon but it is a good start. I enjoyed the confidence levels."
