Sergi Roberto considering Barcelona exit: He'll decide on Man Utd or Chelsea this week

SERGI ROBERTO is considering leaving Barcelona with Manchester United and Chelsea both keen to sign him.

Sergi Roberto shows his magnificent touch and vision

The Spaniard had hoped to become a regular starter under Ernesto Valverde this season but Roberto has become annoyed by Barca's latest arrival.

Barca completed the £36million signing of former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho from Guangzhou Evergrande yesterday.

And Spanish newspaper Sport claim it hasn't gone down well with Roberto.

The midfielder is now set to make a decision on his future this week and Manchester United and Chelsea are both feasible options.

AC Milan and Juventus are also interested in signing him but Roberto's preference would be to seal a move to the Premier League.

Sport claim United and Chelsea would both be willing to meet his €40million (£36.3m) release clause.

Despite not getting assurances from Valverde over his future, Barca chiefs are making attempts to convince Roberto to stay.

Sergi Roberto is under contract with Barcelona until 2019

Roberto remains under contract with the Nou Camp outfit until 2019 and Barca hope he will stay this season to help the club challenge for La Liga and Champions League titles.

But the 25-year-old has aspirations to play in the Champions League at United or Chelsea with both clubs returning to Europe's elite competition this term.

Antonio Conte is in desperate need of new signings having already complained about his depleted squad, while Jose Mourinho is keen to get one more deal done before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
