MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea look set to miss out on Paris Saint-Germain star Serge Aurier, with reports saying the Ivory Coast international has agreed personal terms with Tottenham.

Manchester United and Chelsea have both been linked with moves for Aurier in recent weeks.

But French newspaper L'Equipe say the defender has now agreed personal terms with domestic rivals and fellow title contenders Tottenham.

Mauricio Pochettino's side are the only team in the Premier League who have failed to get the cheque book out this summer.

However, that looks set to end with Aurier supposedly reaching an agreement with Tottenham in a move that will see him moving to north London.

The report adds Juventus and Inter Milan also want him but Spurs appear to be in pole position to snap him up.

Aurier looks likely to leave PSG after falling out of favour with manager Unai Emery.

The Ligue 1 giants are aiming to offload several players in order to balance the books after their £198million deal to sign Neymar from Barcelona.

As well as Aurier, Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler are both being linked with moves away.

Should the move go through, it will represent a major blow to United and Chelsea's transfer plans.

Despite bringing in Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic, Jose Mourinho wants more reinforcements at United.

He has been focusing on a winger but, despite having Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian capable of playing at right-back, Aurier has emerged as a possible arrival.

Chelsea have also been backed to sign the Paris Saint-Germain star, with Antonio Conte desperate for the Blues to make more signings.

They have already sealed deals for Antonio Rudiger, Willy Caballero, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata but Conte's discontent at Stamford ridge is rising.
