Manchester United have signed Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic so far this summer.

But Jose Mourinho wants one more signing ahead of the transfer window’s August 31 deadline.

Jimenez has been tickling the fancy of West Ham, who are keen to pair him with international team-mate Javier Hernandez as they aim to build on last term's difficult campaign under Slaven Bilic.

However, Fox News anchor and analyist Fernando Schwartz says United have also joined the Hammers in the race to sign bring the 26-year-old to the Premier League.

It is said Jose Mourinho has ran the rule over the striker and expressed interest in landing him.

And, in good news for both Premier League teams, Benfica may be open to letting the Mexican depart.

The striker is valued at £27million - an amount the Primeira Liga giants deem too good to turn down.

Jose Mourinho still wants one more signing for Manchester United

The 26-year-old’s stock has risen ever since signing for Benfica from Atletico Madrid in January 2015.

Jimenez has struck 24 goals from 80 games, helping them win the title last year and this year respectively.

West Ham still appear to be frontrunners, however, given the fact Bilic can offer him more game time than Mourinho.
