Stoke v Arsenal: Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting could be dangerous, says Charlie Nicholas

That is the opinion of former Arsenal striker and Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas.

Arsenal travel to face Mark Hughes’ Stoke in the second game of the Premier League season for both sides.

Choupo-Moting will make his full debut for the Potters after coming on as a second-half substitute in the 1-0 defeat to Everton on the opening day.

The Cameroon international joined on a three-year deal from Schalke earlier this month and impressed Nicholas in his cameo last week.

Choupo-Moting could be a handful for Arsenal

Nicholas can see similarities in Choupo-Moting of former Arsenal and Nigeria striker Nwankwo Kanu.

“The one was Choupo-Moting, it was obviously the first time I’ve seen him for Stoke,” Nicholas said on Sky Sports.

“He came on for 20 minutes and he was dangerous, unpredictable.

“He’s a bit Kanu like in terms of the way he drags a ball.

“He could be a handful for Arsenal, I would be surprised if he didn’t start.”

Choupo-Moting scored 18 goals in 82 Bundesliga appearances for Schalke.
