Gerrard impressed with Arsenal's signing of Lacazette
Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon for a club-record £46.5million in July, which could potentially rise to £52million.
The Frenchman scored on his Gunners league debut in the 4-3 win over Leicester with a header inside the opening two minutes.
Gerrard admits Arsenal’s defence is the worry and they must be more consistent at the back if they are to compete for a first title since 2004.
“They’ve added Lacazette and he looks a real buy,” Gerrard said on BT Sport.

“They’ve spent a lot of money on him but I’ve watched him a bit this season and he started with a bang.
“His movement in the box is excellent and he only needs one chance to score a goal.
“Arsenal’s problems aren’t going forward, they’ve got Sanchez to add to what they’ve already got, Welbeck’s back fit, Ramsey’s available to go in from the start.
