That is according to pundit and former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves.

Lukaku was handed responsibility to take his first penalty for United since joining from Everton for £75million in the summer.

Referee Michael Oliver awarded the spot-kick after he adjudged Danny Simpson to have handled an Anthony Martial cross.

Lukaku had scored four goals in his first three competitive games for United but Schmeichel was determined to stop him today.

“Brilliant reaction from Schmeichel,” Hargreaves said on BT Sport of the Leicester keeper.

“Great contact from Lukaku, makes his mind up early Schmeichel. He reads it beautifully.
