Liverpool dominated the game from the first whistle and went in at the break 2-0 up thanks to Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

The home side's dominance grew in the second-half as the Gunners failed to get a single effort on target, despite throwing on Alexandre Lacazette and Olivier Giroud.

Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge soon made it 4-0 as the Reds looked deadly in front of goal.

And Jordan Henderson lauded the way in which Liverpool attacked the Gunners, calling the front three "devastating".

"We did very well, started well, we were solid, forced them into areas where they didn't want to be and were devastating on the attack," Henderson told Sky Sports.

"As the games have gone on we have got better and better. Our fitness levels have been brilliant, we worked hard in pre-season.

"We controlled the game everywhere really. Overall we are delighted. We have got talent, but you have to have the hard work and heart to match that, like we did today."
