La Liga Transfer News: Man Utd bid for Real Madrid star Bale, Barcelona close to Coutinho

LA LIGA giants Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid continue to press ahead with their transfer plans. Express Sport brings you the latest news.

Gareth Bale almost breaks crossbar in close attempt

Manchester United have tabled a £92million bid for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, reports in Spain claim.

The Red Devils have spent the summer pursuing Bale but Real Madrid have so far managed to fend off their advances.

However, Spanish outlet Don Balon claims United have now made a £92m offer for the Wales international.

And Real are supposedly weighing up whether to cash in on their No11.

Madrid are tempted because they know they can make a profit on Bale, who cost them £86million when he joined from Tottenham four years ago.

Barcelona are closing in on Liverpool and PSG stars Philippe Coutinho and Angel Di Maria.

That's according to Don Balon, who say both teams are set to lose their prized asset.

It is said a deal for Coutinho is expected to be wrapped up in the coming days, despite the Reds so far blocking a move.

And Di Maria is set to follow with PSG keen to balance the books following the arrival of Neymar earlier this summer.

Atletico Madrid are close to signing Racing Club hotshot Lautaro Martinez.

The player’s agent told Fox Sports there is a strong chance of the striker moving to Madrid in 12 months time.

"There is a 99 percent chance that the deal will be done," Zarate said.

"Lautaro asked us expressly for the transfer to be nailed down. He likes the idea of Atletico Madrid and they have agreed to it.

"He wants to remain for another season because he wants to play the Copa Libertadores with Racing."
