Arsenal transfer news: Gunners join Borussia Dortmund with Julian Draxler enquiry - report

ARSENAL have joined Borussia Dortmund in launching an enquiry for PSG’s Julian Draxler, reports claim.

Julian Draxler demonstrates deadly finishing ability for PSG

Arsenal have long been admirers of Draxler, whose future at PSG is up in the air with mere days of the transfer window remaining.

The Germany international only joined the Ligue 1 giants back in January but, just eight months on, the club are keen to offload him following the arrival of Neymar from Barcelona.

And French outlet Le 10 Sport say Draxler has now been the subject of an official enquiry by Arsenal.

It is said, however, that they are yet to launch a bid for the winger.

Borussia Dortmund have also expressed interest in signing Draxler as a replacement for Ousmane Dembele.

The 20-year-old was unveiled as a Barcelona player today, with Dortmund receiving £96million from the deal.

Additionally, Le 10 Sport say two clubs have already snubbed the chance to sign him.

Among them are Monaco, who are primed to lose Kylian Mbappe to PSG.

The France international is set to join Unai Emery’s side on loan, with PSG then having the option to buy him for a huge £166m.

Bayern Munich have also been offered the chance to sign him.

However, the Bundesliga champions politely declined the chance to snap him up despite wing wizards Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery approaching the end of their careers.

Draxler has scored 10 goals since arriving from Wolfsburg in the New Year.
