Man Utd News: Jose Mourinho’s squad are ‘streets ahead’ of Man City - Ray Wilkins

JOSE MOURINHO’s Manchester United squad are a long way ahead of their rivals Manchester City, according to former Red Devils midfielder Ray Wilkins.

Mourinho has seen his Manchester United side win their opening three Premier League games without conceding a goal.

They are the only team in the Premier League to have won all their matches to date, whereas Manchester City have been less convincing.

Pep Guardiola’s side are unbeaten but limped to a late 2-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

City were favourites for the title ahead of the campaign but Wilkins reckons United have now overtaken them in the reckoning.

He can also see another of his former sides in Chelsea putting in another title challenge after last season’s success under Antonio Conte.

"The thing with the two Manchester clubs is that you've got one of them who can defend, one of them that can’t,” Wilkins said on talkSPORT.

“Both of them can attack.
