Sky Sports pundit Gerry Francis: There must be some big Arsenal transfer news tomorrow

ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger must be busy in the transfer market tomorrow, according to Sky Sports pundit Gerry Francis.

Ian Wright: Arsenal players have lost faith in Arsene Wenger

Wenger’s Arsenal side have started the season with two defeats from their opening three games, including a crushing 4-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

The Gunners have only signed two players so far this summer, with Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette coming in from Schalke and Lyon respectively.

And with two of their key players linked with deadline day moves away from the club, Francis says there must be some big incomings to prevent another season of discontent at the Emirates.

“I think Arsene Wenger in the next 36 hours needs to do something,” Francis said on Sky Sports.

Gerry Francis on Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger

“He needs to do more, looking at their players and their body language the other day.

“I feel he needs to make some changes if he’s going to have any sort of a season where people are not going to be questioning him.

“He needs to make some real big decisions in the next 36 hours.”

The two players who look set to leave Arsenal before the window shuts at 11pm tomorrow are Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Arsenal transfer news: Sky Sports pundit Francis says the Gunners need some major additions

Manchester City are set to return with a new offer for Alexis Sanchez after having a £50million bid rejected earlier this week.

Arsenal accepted a £35million offer from Chelsea for Oxlade-Chamberlain but the England international would prefer a switch to Liverpool.

Liverpool are now said to be in talks with the Gunners for him.

Both Sanchez and Oxlade-Chamberlain are out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season.
