Bournemouth Transfer News: Benik Afobe is wanted by Wolves

The Championship side have made a number of key signings this summer as they push for promotion to the Premier League.

In what was one of the most surprising deals of the summer, Ruben Neves joined £16m from Porto.

And The Sun have now reported that they have made another big-money move this time for Bournemouth striker Afobe.

However, the Cherries instantly rejected the bid and said there is no way he is leaving this late in the window.

There were question marks over the forward’s future after the signing of Jermain Defoe.

Josh King had been linked with a move away but signed a four-year deal earlier this month.

That has seen Afobe fall down the pecking order and new boss Nuno Santo is keen on bringing the Congolese striker back to the Molineux.

Afobe signed for Eddie Howe’s side from Wolves in January 2016 for £10m.
