Manchester United are set for a busy September, with the Red Devils playing seven times in the space of just 22 days.

Yet Jose Mourinho has stunned fans by allowing Pereira to spend the campaign away from Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old impressed on loan in La Liga with Granada last term and also caught the eye during the Manchester United’s recent pre-season tour of the US.

However, despite that, Mourinho has allowed him to join Valencia, where he will be hoping to earn a starting spot.

And Mata has wished him luck on his personal blog.

“As you know, there have been many rumours about signings here and there before the end of the transfer market,” he said

“In our case, these days have been relatively quiet, since the squad was closed with Zlatan’s return.

“I’d like to wish the best of luck to Andres Pereira in Valencia, he’s a great player and I hope he has a good season and the fans can enjoy it.”

Pereira signed a new deal at United on Saturday, just 24 hours after moving to the Mestalla.

And Mourinho, speaking at the time, has tipped the youngster for greatness.

"Andreas is already a very good footballer,” the 54-year-old said.

“He is a young player with great natural ability and a good attitude towards continuing his development.

“I have no doubt that he has the potential to be one of the future great players of this club."
