Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is supposedly over his deadline day disappointment

Sanchez was fuming a deal between the two clubs fell through late on Thursday.

Arsenal couldn’t sign replacement Thomas Lemar in time to agree for Sanchez to join City.

The player was visibly furious during Chile’s shock 3-0 defeat to Paraguay, which kicked off almost immediately after the transfer window closed.

He was criticised for his performance in the red shirt, with one former Chile youth coach claiming he looked “fatter than normal”.

But Sanchez has not let the disappointment hang over him.

According to Chilean newspaper El Mercurio, the 28-year-old was back to his chirpy best during training today ahead of his country’s World Cup qualifier against Bolivia tomorrow (9pm).

Sanchez was seen joking with his team-mates, while he also took time out to visit his former club Cobreloa, pose for photos and sign autographs for fans.

Arsenal expect the playmaker back in north London before their weekend clash with Manchester City.
