Man Utd News: Frustrated Gareth Bale tells agent to work on Real Madrid exit - shock claim

REAL MADRID star Gareth Bale is considering a return to England with Manchester United keen to sign him, reports say.

Gareth Bale almost breaks crossbar in close attempt

Manchester United tried to sign Bale this summer only for Real Madrid to block any potential deal.

The Wales international has always insisted he is happy with life in Spain and therefore currently reluctant to make a Premier League return.

But Spanish outlet Don Balon says the 28-year-old is now giving serious thought whether to embark on a new challenge back in the league where he started his career.

In recent weeks fans have made their feelings towards him clear by booing him whenever he is afforded a start by manager Zinedine Zidane.

Sections of the Real Madrid fanbase jeered him in their draw with Valencia, with the former Tottenham star then overlooked for their La Liga clash with Levante this weekend.

And Don Balon say Bale is growing increasingly frustrated with the way he is treated.

He has even reportedly told his representatives to start sounding out possible suitors for next summer.

And that would put United - who have long harboured hopes of signing him - on red alert.

The Red Devils wanted him back in Sir Alex Ferguson’s time in charge and Bale was making a name for himself in the Southampton academy.

But the player ended up going to Tottenham instead, snubbing Ferguson’s offer in the process.

David Moyes was also a fan of Bale and wanted him to be the sperarhead of his team when Ferguson stepped down in 2013.

Man Utd News: Jose Mourinho wants Real Madrid star Gareth Bale

Speaking back in December, the Scot confirmed he had earmarked his fellow Briton as the perfect buy his side.

“When I first went in to United my real target was Gareth Bale,” said the 53-year-old.

“I felt all along that Gareth Bale was a Manchester United player and I fought to get him [from Tottenham] right up until the last minute.

“We actually offered him a bigger deal than Real Madrid but Gareth had his mind made up on going to Madrid.

“He was, though, in my mind, the player I really wanted.”
